About
Caitlin Gizler, Marriage and Family Therapist
I’ve been a practicing therapist since 2010, working within community health agencies, outpatient hospitals, and private practice here in Arizona. Over my past 14 years of counseling, I have developed my expertise working with children, couples, and families, specializing in helping families of all forms work towards healing. I work with families with complex dynamics across all types of family makeups - biological, blended, adoptive, and foster families, and with relationship counseling across all types of relationships - familial, marital, partnered, open or monogamous , and platonic or romantic relationships. I also love working with individual children, teens, and adults who are looking for new layers of self-awareness and strength in themselves as they journey through all of life’s peaks and valleys.
I believe deeply that all people deserve the right to feel safe and empowered – both within their communities and within themselves; and my passion for helping people feel accepted and capable is a cornerstone of my therapy practice. My goal in every visit is to create a safe environment, where we can build trust and connection, while you or your family work through your goals in sessions that are comfortable, playful and genuine.
From 2015 to 2023, I held executive leadership roles that allowed me to the opportunity develop and implement trauma-informed, accessible, wrap-around healing services, with incredible teams of therapists, case managers and psychiatrists, in a leading local health center in the Valley. This experience allowed me to grow my expertise in best clinical practices and the ability to connect to essential community and healthcare resources on your healing journey.
I have a B.A. in Psychology and Nonprofit Administration and an M.A.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy, both from Arizona State University. I am also a Board Certified Clinical Supervisor, a Certified Nonprofit Professional, and a Certified Family Trauma Professional.
